Works for me.It says to time it so the tine is in the 12 o clock position. When I hand tightened it, the muzzle device is about 10-12 degress short of that position. OSS (new name is Huxwrx) instructs to use high temp red loctite and torque it about a quarter turn. I figured I would check with the HK community before I go torquing a muzzle device onto my HK91.

The chamber flutes look a bit too deep near the shoulder. The trunnion has a couple stamps as seen and is new and undrilled. The front sight looks like a bad casting but the cocking tube looks like great quality.Just on a whim, I measured a dozen HK barrel pins. Most were 5mm on the nose, one was 5.02mm and one was 4.98mm. Personally, I'd rather see the hole exactly 5mm because it is easier to control the pin size than the hole size, and the pins are harder than the barrel - but I'm sure HK had their reasons. T. Were the pitting at the muzzle crown, then there's a narrow possibility. I'd can it up and shoot it and in the mean while keep an eye out for a replacement barrel. Look for an original HK91 or a contract military barrel that's in excellent condition.
